Herb N’ Play: Children’s Plant Medicine and Play Workshop

Come learn and play with wild and common plants at Just Roots Farm in Greenfield!

People and plants have been in relation for many thousands of years. Come learn new/old skills that our ancestors used and ones that were common knowledge, like what to put into your soup for a cold and what to apply for a bee sting or a sprained ankle. 

The details: 

  • Ages 5-10, with option of attending if under 5 with a grown up (Grown ups welcome to stay or can drop off)

  • Sunday October 20th 1-4 pm( rain date is Nov 3rd) 

  • $25-$75/per child sliding scale, discount available if 3 or more sign up.  If grown up is staying and participating, then also pay for grown up so we have enough supplies. 

  • Space is limited! Sign up early.

The Teachers:

Dr. Nitya Jessica Eisenheim, ND is a Naturopathic physician, who is passionate about herbal medicine, cooking, healthy food and community building. She has a Naturopathic clinic in Greenfield, MA and enjoys working with all ages, especially children, and with people who have tried everything and feel maxed out by conventional options. She excels at being your ally on your journey to health. She focuses on helping children with neurological/cognitive/behavior/psychological health issues, as well as healing from Lyme disease/Tick Borne Illnesses, Autoimmune disorders, and Digestive issues. Noelle Janka, PCC is a politicized healing and career coach for social change leaders. She is passionate about gardening and herbalism, and has co-taught youth herbalism workshops with Sweet Birch Herbals. She is a late-stage Lyme survivor, Master Urban Gardener, yoga teacher, and author of the self-help book, Rebel Healing: Transforming Ourselves and the Systems That Make Us Sick.
