More and more, we are seeing Native plant populations decline because of over harvesting, development and loss of habitat. “A renewed interest in American medicinal plants by foreign businesses, the sudden appeal of botanicals to drug companies, and the burgeoning natural foods and cosmetics industry has spurred the hunt for wild herbs in ever greater amounts to satisfy the seemingly insatiable demand for herbal products ” Rosemary Gladstar, United Plant Savers founder, Sage Mountain Herbal Retreat. The mission and vision of United Plant Savers is clear and simple: to conserve and restore native medicinal plants of the United States and Canada and their habitat while ensuring an abundant renewable supply of medicinal plants for generations to come. This will ensure an abundant supply of food for our pollinators as well, which will support local agriculture and ecosystems.  Come join this movement and learn how to plant a native medicinal garden or include them in a garden you may already have. Small urban spaces will be included!

About the presenters:

Dr. Nitya Jessica Eisenheim, ND is a Naturopathic physician and herbalist, who is passionate about herbal medicine, gardening, cooking, healthy food and community building. She loves foraging for wild edibles and medicinals, and igniting that passion in others.

Tom Sullivan’s landscape design business, Pollinators Welcome, focuses on pollinator habitat that supports diversity of our native bee species to meet the pollination crisis head on.

Free flower essence with purchase of bodywork package; Valentine’s Day Special

This Valentine’s Day, treat yourself to a craniosacral therapy or visceral manipulation package and get a flower essence as well! Use this offer to relieve stress, pain or belly bloat and reconnect with your health priorities. Expires 02/14/19.

Craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation are both powerful and gentle forms of bodywork that can complement any other type of healing modality or medicine. Craniosacral is especially useful for chronic pain, nervous system issues and sleep issues by working with the nervous system, the fascia, the joints and the bones. Visceral manipulation is particularly helpful with digestive issues and working on the endocrine and reproductive systems by mobilizing the organs. Often, these modalities are combined to achieve the best results.

Flower essences are also gentle medicines made by capturing the holographic images of flowers in the sun using water. They are very helpful for emotional support and spiritual transformation. These flower essences were all made by Dr. Eisenheim by hand from various flowers from her garden, the fields and woods. Enjoy!

The fee is $300 for a package of 4 sessions. Typically, sessions cost $100 each, so you would be spending $400, instead of $300, and you receive the complementary flower essence, valued at $20. Package must be used 6 months from date of purchase.

Call now to purchase your package and get scheduled: 413-676-9009.

Limited to one per person. Appointments are required and are subject to availability. Must show this offer before purchase. Cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts. No cash value or other redemption value. Other restrictions may apply. Call for details.

This Valentine’s Day offer runs from February 7th-14th.

We’re Going Virtual – Special Offer

For the safety of all patients and the community at large, we’ve reached the time when I need to stop seeing clients in person and go virtual. We have one confirmed COVID-19 case in Amherst now and have reached community transmission(which means we don’t know how this person got infected. It wasn’t from travel and they had no known exposure to the virus).

I am canceling all in person visits until the end of March. This doesn’t mean that we’re not connected and that we can’t stay connected. We can do virtual or phone consults and I can drop off herbs to your porch or mail them to you as needed, as well as use Wellevate.

I’m holding a special offer with deep savings for a COVID-19 consult. Typically, this would cost $150, but for the COVID-19 consults it will be a sliding scale of $60-$100. I will not turn anyone
away for a consult, so please be generous if you can.

Schedule a return office visit here. If you’re a new patient, select the I’m sick and can’t get out of bed consult:

I have two Zoom calls scheduled about COVID-19 prevention and treatment.

Now more than ever, it’s time to stay connected and reach for each other, as well as do things that keep us in present time, things that bring us joy.

Get offline and hug a tree, especially an evergreen tree to breath in their healing aromas.

Feel free to forward to your friends and family.

Dr. Nitya Jessica Eisenheim, ND is a Naturopathic physician who is passionate about herbal medicine, cooking, healthy food and community building. Nitya grew up in NYC going to conventional doctors. She did not know a dandelion from a tomato plant, nonetheless know that plants can actually heal you. Dr. Eisenheim has had the opportunity to treat hundreds of patients in all stages of Lyme disease while mentoring with Dr. Emily Maiella at Windhorse Naturopathic Clinic in Brattleboro, VT. Dr. Nitya Eisenheim, ND graduated from Bastyr University, a leading research and educational institution. For more info about the clinic and doctor go here:

Here’s what others have to say about working with Dr. Eisenheim:

Looking back on where my health was 2 years ago, I cannot believe how far I have come in my healing from Chronic Lyme disease. At that time, I felt helpless and I felt like giving up. My body and mind were over ridden with pathogens, and other doctors just didn’t seem to listen to me or “get it”. I knew that there was something that these other doctors were missing, and I sought out a less traditional healing modality- naturopathic medicine. Upon visiting Dr. Eisenheim for my first appointment, I felt like crying with such relief to know that I was being heard and understood. Unlike the other doctors I had seen, she took a thorough examination of all aspects of my health through labs, life style, emotional stability, spirituality, and my physical body. It has become clear to me how much Dr. Eisenheim cares about my well-being and is well versed in Chronic Lyme by how much healing has taken place with me being in her care.
I cannot believe how much I have changed over time and how I can actually feel like a vital person now. At one point in time, I was debilitated and wasn’t able to go on walks, work, or go on social outings, and now I am able to have a better quality of life. I believe in naturopathic medicine, energy healing, and the power that healing the whole entire being has on overcoming chronic illness.

I’ve been dealing with Lyme Disease since June of 2017 and still suffer intermittent symptoms. I attended Dr Eisenheim’s workshop on Lyme Disease in April 2018. I was impressed with her easy to understand information and willingness to share her knowledge as well as her kind and professional demeanor. I took home the Tick Kit as a preventative. 3 1/2 weeks post tick bite I have thankfully not had a reoccurrence of Lyme symptoms. I have gladly added Dr. Eisenheim to my Lyme treatment regime.

I decided to visit Cedar Rose after I exhausted all other medical options with my son who was chronically sick. After our first visit I saw a drastic improvement in his overall health within 2 weeks. She carefully listened to all of my concerns and gave me a plan of action for him which included dietary changes and supplements.

Intro to Gut Healing and Fermentation workshop

Hands-on, interactive, introductory workshop to healing the immune and digestive systems with Dr. Eisenheim’s 3 step gut reset program.

Are you experiencing digestive discomfort and feel afraid of what to eat?

Do you end up regretting what you ate?

Are you suffering with autoimmune or Lyme disease and feel like you will never get better?

Having digestive issues can be a common concern for many suffering with chronic illness. Healing the gut can be a key and important step in this healing journey as the gut is the seat of the immune and nervous systems, both often weak in these disease states and essential to complete healing. Eat more freely, without worrying about bloating. Feel better from abdominal pain, food sensitivities, constipation, diarrhea, chronic pain, joint pain, and headaches. Even if you don’t have a chronic illness, this is for you if you are a busy professional who feels burnt out and disconnected. Replenish yourself and reconnect with nature through healing foods and natural medicines. This hands on, interactive workshop is a foundation and a prerequisite to our most popular program, an 8-week gut reset program.

Topics to be explored:

  1. Learn how fermentation can transform your digestion and immune health; make and take home a fermented food product.
  2. Learn 3 home remedies, including the Nervous Belly Tea formulated by Dr. Eisenheim, to reduce belly bloat, constipation and abdominal pain.
  3. Learn about Dr. Eisenheim’s 3 step Gut Reset Program.

Dr. Nitya Jessica Eisenheim, ND is a Naturopathic physician who is passionate about herbal medicine, cooking, healthy food and community building. Nitya grew up in NYC going to conventional doctors. Through learning herbal medicine, Ayurveda, integrative nutrition, naturopathic medicine, cranio sacral therapy and visceral manipulation, she learned ways to listen to the body and be in harmony with it, instead of feeling confused by the body’s signals or feeling like she was in a constant battle with it. She healed from chronic back and hip pain, irregular periods and unhealthy digestion.

Here’s what others have to say about working with Dr. Eisenheim:

– The herbal protocol and elimination diet that you prescribed shifted things quickly for me and I found a lot of relief. The diarrhea and itchiness went away first and then slowly I regained my energy levels. Now I have a better sense of what works for my body and what doesn’t. I feel like the things you prescribed helped to give me a deeper feeling of connection with and understanding of my body. I found a better balance through listening to my body- which foods worked and didn’t, which activities made it better or worse, and how I felt in my body during stressful times. During this time I also resumed my meditation practice and was reminded to find more time for general self care. I also found different ways of being active that took less of a toll on my body.

– DW

– Slowly, I was able to heal. You were able to recommend supplements and herbs to heal my stomach. Although it took awhile to get back to normal, I feel much better. No more vomiting or diarrhea. No acid reflux or back pain. Sleep is much better and my energy levels are better than before. My overall health has improved. My energy levels are better than before the stomach problems. I missed being able to work more and go out with friends. I can exercise more and have better stamina. I’m able to sleep better. My stools are always healthy. My other health conditions have improved as well. –RA

I have been able to focus more of my energy on healthier things, instead of dealing with the social and mental challenges. More at peace that my alternative diet is just me long term reality. Finding joy in the foods I can eat! – ALW

After nearly completely recovering from late-stage Lyme disease, I came to Dr. Eisenheim for help with SIBO(small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). After receiving her bodywork, I had relief from my daily upper right quadrant pain for more than two weeks, the longest period of relief I’d felt in a year of having the pain. She helped me design a diet and herbal protocol that worked for me.  After years of seeing practitioners who claimed to have the answer, Dr. Eisenheim’s support to help ME choose my healing path was a breath of fresh air.
