Postpartum Depression and Anxiety

Are you feeling down and alone? Do you just not feel quite like yourself? Maybe anxious and panicky?

It’s a big job taking care of a baby at any age, especially if you’re new at it. Our society doesn’t value parenting like it should, and often this can leave us feeling alone and isolated. I know, I’ve been there. We might be processing birth trauma or the birth itself, and should have time to bond with our babies, instead of having to attend to housework or jobs or other children who have needs too.

In many cultures and other parts of the world, the whole family and community organizes to help the new birthing parent/mom and baby bond, and spend as much time together for the first 40 days. They cook, clean and take care of the household and other children. Without this support system, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, exhausted, down, worried or panicked. You might not even feel like you want to feed or be close with your baby. And that’s ok too. It’not your fault.

I’m here to tell you there is help available, and it doesn’t have to include medications.

Dr. Eisenheim offers natural solutions that work to heal post-partum depression and anxiety, even if you don’t have a formal diagnosis. If family members are forcing you to take medications and that doesn’t feel right to you, I’m here to tell you that there are safe options available, including homeopathy, herbal medicine that is safe for you and baby, supplements and nutrition.

I can also help with common baby issues that conventional medicine doesn’t have great solutions for, such as breastfeeding issues that are hormonal in nature, chronic mastitis, thrush, colic, eczema, coughs, cold/flu/RSV prevention and treatment and help for immune compromised babies.
